Hi all guys,

I made this drawing in Adobe Illustrator. I've used it on a Flash site I've made for a Norwegian exhibition design company.
Link: http//:www.jorn-jorgensen.no
It's in norwegian, but if you go to "Om oss", choose the "Om oss" roll-down menu and click "27D" You'll se how I used it.

It would have been fun to post it as Flash gfx, but I wasn't sure if it would work... Can anyone tell me if it works?

Did I use a photo reference? Of course.

God the only way I can tell this isnt a photo is the gradient shading of the sky...but other then that perfect....but the gradient look just might be from compression?
I would personaly like to see a hi rez version and check out the nitty gritties!

it looks really nice, photograph like. question is if you wanted it to look like a photo, and you had a photo of it, why didnt you just use the photo and maybe touch it up in PS if it needed it?

great work nonetheless

That is probably one of the best Illustrator pictures I've seen in a long time. I really like the shading and colors you used. I didn't know Illustrator could do that stuff. I'm going to have to get busy and learn that program better. Excellent picture!

Very nice. The only thing I noticed that seems wrong is the lettering on the front. It doesn't seem to be on the same plane as the wall it's supposed to be on.

I did'nt understand how you did this in Illustrator, I've never seen anything like that made in that program. It's cool!
Got some perspective problems like i pointed out before, but nothing big.
Great stuff!

Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for response, I'm very happy you liked it.

Plop... Ehhh.. i'm sorry, I fucked up the URL... The URL is http://www.jorn-jorgensen.no . Misplaced //: It should work now. (I really, really hope so!!) Please go there. Then you can see how I used it.Location is "Om oss", then choose "Om oss" rolldown, and choose 27D. you will see what I did with the sky.

CapnPyro.. Please go to the link. Then you'll understand. Flash makes vector images come out a lot crispier than pixel images. It also reduces file size. And if you scale the picture up, it still looks the same - no annoying pixels

Joachim and Micke, maybe I'll visit you guys at your office today?

Cyberartist, you are right. I believe it's the color that makes it pop out of the plane. I think I could have solved it with a little shadow perhaps?

At the site you'll find a few vector pieces, but they are all meant as graphic elements.

Adobe Illustrator sucked until 8.0 came out with antialiasing on the screen. Then I think it turned into to a KICKASS program. Illustrator 9 is even better with transparancy and a lot of other net effects. If any of you are interested in typography and graphic design you should take a look at it, it's a very powerful tool for designers.

Hello Milkman, if you want to see hi-res, why don't I send you the ai/eps file instead? Tell me if you want it, it's no problem.

Cheers kids! .)
