.. but I am not sure if this guy will grant them to you..

I again mixed my colors all before beginning to draw. I don't know if this is thought to be a good learning method or not though...

please let me know what you think of the picture, thx.

i like it....my only critique for it is if light source is diagonal, and from the front, then why is the back of the cloth highlighted too? Again, thumbs up. I esp. like the background colors.

I like the painterly look about it.

A question though, I have never tried to blend the colors before beginning to work on a painting - i.e. if you mean that you blend the bulk of the colors that you intend to use on your painting, before actually painting.

I would feel a bit handicapped I believe if my colors were "pre" blended, since many things can happen during the working process, all the colors interacting together, which can be hard to tell in advance exactly in what way?

Like I said, never tried that, and never thought of it either. Any advantages that you have found that this way of working gives you?

Transcendence: yeah thx, i was a bit too trigger happy on the cloth.. to be honest I rushed that part quite a lot because I really suck at cloth folding/wrinkles

pierre: I found that when I have to choose my colors before i begin to draw I think more actively about the whole look - what light I will use for instance, what temperature and this.
And I can better relate the colors to each other and see if they fit the image or are too saturated/bright etc.
So far I did not experience any drawbacks with this way of doing it.. but I am aware that I might just ignore some possibilities (color wise) and so I am not sure if its a good way of doing things or not.

You have conveyed dissapointment and lonelyness flawlessly. I can only assume he's still in his bottle, waiting to escape. Or maybe he's out, but unimpressed by the real world.

Nice work, really.
