Ive been using photoshop for about 2 years now, and have grown very accustomed to it. When I tried painter for the first time , about a month ago ( had it on the cd that came with my wacom, just to lazy to install) i loved the natural brush strokes. Although i dont think that it is as flexible as PS, its still great. Adobe should just get it over with and buy out corel ( not really...) so they can make one product out of these two great products! |

I definatly use photoshop more for digital illistration. If I want the effect of natural oil paint's I'll paint with oil. Unfortuatley oil paints are more exspensive than painter. plus painter doesn't have layers or any of the tools that photoshop has that give it that extra edge over other programs. |
