I like the style! My one major crit is the factt hat the shine on the hair don't match the rest of the pic! I think you should have used some type of hard edged effect like the shaddows etc.. on the rest of the dude!

The picture looks interesting and is coming along nicely. There is just something that doesn't make it quite gel yet. Maybe the angles are too harsh and need to be a bit smoother or a black outline around parts of the character to give more definition.

Here he is with 'fixed' hair and an outline.
Crit this to death.

I like the angular (vector-ish) style you have developed with the coloring on this one.
But I'm not real keen on the background... it looks like you used the Clouds filter and then did a Radial Blur. You may think it's a shortcut to making something that looks neat real quick. But it really is only a shortcut in many instances and can only hurt the final product. Plus it goes against the coloring style of the character.
Try rendering a background yourself with as few filters as possible. They tend to be crutches. Just my two cents.

I like the hair a lot better now. Not that my personal likes should make you decide one way or another!
A small crit. I think with the outlines you should try for a bit of variation on the lines! Not all the same thickness etc.. That way you can give weight to a specific point of the pic and use the outlines to convey things like motion, or to draw the attention of the viewer to specific points around the pic! Just a thought!
