Hello all. This is my first post to the forum. I have been looking at some of the postings and there is some great work being posted. I enjoy looking at the art posted. Anyway, I borrowed a Wacom tablet from a friend to try it out. This first lion picture I did in a few minutes just to get the hang of the tablet.
The next image I did using a reference from one of my son's story books. It is from the Prince and the Pauper.
The next image I did without a reference. My sister bought a bar called the Sunset Bar & Grill and wanted me to do a background for her new menus. This is what I came up with.
This last image I did with the intention of having it printed out on photopaper. I used a small birthday invitation as a reference. I did the original image at 2880X3600 (360 DPI at 8X10). I printed it out and got it framed for my son's first birthday.
I would appreciate any feedback that you can provide. I am new to this and you guys are the experts. Thanks.

Wow, that is some really beautiful stuff.
Just a couple of comments. on the winnie the pooh one, the tree, grass and background in general doesn't have any real good defining lines or colours. There are some but they are really close to other colours already there.
The mickey one is really good but it just has too much of a 'rubbery' feel to it. With goofy's left hand, the way the colours are on some of the fingers, to my eye, are not really easy to make out. I think the main reason is that you have a continous squiggly line from the underside of the left wrist (the light orange) that goes all the way into the next two fingers. For mine, I see this line (ie horizontal) while the fingers are almost vertical.
Look forward to seeing more of your work.
