I really need you guys to tell me what to do with this problem i have. Here it goes

My school is making a Multimedia CD-Rom and I'm the graphic/layout designer for it. Apparently there is another guy who is interested in doing the graphics and layout too, and he sucks but he wants to do most of it. And this is suppose to be a team work, but i can't make graphic and layout with another person because two people have diffrent style.......it would be really screw up if they put it together, and its complicated and such.........

And what about webdesign firm.....do they have more than one graphic/layout designer working on the same thing?

so what do i have to do? should i murder him?

you could be more polite about it and just say that your two artistic styles would clash and you dont think it'd be a good idea. Dont go out and thrash the guy just because he isnt as good as you.

Just make some kickass layouts and designs. Make them so good that they put him to shame. When ppl see your designs they'll automatically want your designs more than his. Just rain all over his parade, burst his bubble, you get the picture
In the end it's your skill that will prevail over his big talk, hehehe.

In answer to your original question:

I know at work, we try to make sure only one desiner or art director works on a particular job, otherwise it just causes stress when their visions eventually clash.

When having a lone creative working on a job is unfeisable, they stay in constant touch with each other to make sure everything turns out right, and even then one of them is usually given the job of defining the 'look'.

Well theres actually only one thing to do=)

You draw some kickass pics, then you give them to the one that is in charge for the project. saying this is what i can do, AND i work alone=) if they not accept that dont do the work. I mean this is not the end of the world if youre not going to make it. but it will certanly be there loss=)
(btw i realy hate does people too:-))
more trains will leave the station=)
