Well, something is wrong with the whole facial structure..or maybe its just the angle of the face that you didnt do well. The neck is also way too long. Id suggest using real life women in magazines or stuff as reference if you want to go towards realism. Hope i wasnt too harsh, just my 2 cents.

Hi Lajun!
I agree with Seph|roth.. neck is too long and basic structure looks little bit odd. Work more with it. Wholeness looks little bit flattened - I point to nose thing for instance. Hmm... combination between forehead and eyes is also pretty non-human like.
I like colors on it! It's pretty nice though.

It looks to me like Lajun was going for a more abstract look. I Dunno. Art doesnt HAVE To be proportionaly its all in what you're trying to accomplish. I Think it's pretty cool Lajun. |

Proportionally, fore head is a little small. I kind of have that problem still. Um.. The neck should be a little sunken in the the middle 'cause women lack an adam's apple.
The ear and the hair look really good and detailed and the shading's not too bad. The angle on most of the body parts are kind of off, though.. Still it's good work.. All the best with it.

Thanks for all the critics. I was way of with the proportions here. and the placement also. I wasn't satified at the very beginning with the look, but I kind of finished it anyway. One thing is for sure though, it really helps taking a break with the image, and suddenly you see all the misstakes.
I'll keep doing more of theese alien characters, and some day I'll get it right.
:-)

Hi again, Lajun! Yeah.. you're right when saying that taking a break is good thing. Your pic is interesting though there are some details which you should try to work up. Keep up working!

Can I just add something?
The shadow on the face pointing at us indicates that she has quite flattering cheekbones. However, on the other side of the face where her skin meets the background there is very little severity in the contours. It makes her face look like it would be lopsided if she looked at us head on.
I like the colours you've chosen, as well as how you did the hair resting down her skull and neck. |

Did some redefinements, some fixing with the details. colors, and such. Most of the proportions and placement is still of. Guess she's meant to be alien.
Enjoy.
