This is my first real attempt at digital painting.. Any tips and critiques are more than welcome.. Wether it be bad or good.. I can take it!

I got the image from Scott McDanniel's tutorial on making comics.. his site can be found here.
I started out with the midtones and then went onto adding dark grays and light grays, with using the airbrush tool.. Then i used the smudge tool to blend in the different colors.. Then to finish it.. I added noise monochromatic to simulate the stone texture..
This is my first attempt at real painting in PS, i hope to get some money to get a tablet soon though..
Sorry for the small pic size. Next time i will use a bigger image.. The light source is coming from the Top right.. |

Wow, that's pretty cool. Looks like marker. I like that look, especially since I SUCK at markers.

About the painting..Thats the kinda look i like to go for, the marker look, I Found an artists site that inspired my sorta style, if you can call it that.. take a look..
