hey guyz,
i dunno if any of u have gone in any art competions but ive done it once and i failed misserably. all the judges are all old grannys and they dont really like digitial art they are more intoc traditional stuff. i was wondering what type of thing u would consider good enough to go into an art Comp?
size, detail, creativness or what. i just need some ideas as on what to do for a good a idea drawing.

Well, if the judges are intelligent, they'll judge the art based on color, composition, technique, etc. Presentation is important too, so if you have an 8x11" printout taped to the wall next to a ten foot painting, you'll probably lose some points for that. However, if the judges are inherently biased against computer art, there's nothing you can do but make the best damned picture possible. Of course, that's what you should be doing anyway.
You should also talk to the judges of the competition, if you get a chance, and ask them why you did so poorly. They'll give you better advice than anyone else on what you could improve for next time. |
