Ok..here's my attempt at a tutorial for clean lines.. kinda goes for an anime look or helps darken edges to make it stand out more... then again you could always use it as guidelines and then turn em off later...
Well... first of all, scan in a sketch like I did here.
ok with that done... open that up in photoshop. Make a new layer on top of it and fill it with a dark bluish/purplish color... set the opacity of that layer to about 60-75%. This is so you can tell what you traced already.
Last... the most time consuming step.. make a new layer and select the pen tool.. make a path on a line that you would like to define and then right click and choose stroke subpath.. select whatever tool you want. (Try paintbrush with the 2nd smallest solid circle brush setting) and go ok. Voila! (now just repeat the process)
of course there are many other ways to do it.. eg levels and the other one posted in this forum... but i find this way to produce the best results. Hope it helps!  |
