Hi. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to draw crowds effectively without getting caught up in too many details? This is something that I have not had much success with simply because I never know exactly where to start. Thanks! |

Well, think of it in basic shapes and colors. The arms tend to point certain ways, the heads are all about the same, etc. Depending on how varied you want the people to be, you can just lay down strokes in generally the right direction, add some little oval heads, and you're there. Don't worry about anatomy, shading, etc(ect on the overall group). A particular stroke could be an arm, or maybe not, and doesn't have to be connected to anything in particular.
