I've been working overtime quite late
tonight and it's getting kind of boring just working, so i did a couple of sketches inbetween. The close-up of the girl was
done quickly on computer, but i wanted to do a pencil drawing instead so i
finished it on paper . If you see any f##k-ups please let me know.I will not change it, but i'll keep it in mind for next time

thanks.

Micke

Damn, why can't I sketch like this?

However, it looks as she got a buldge in the eyes in the third pic, and the nose looks kinda wierd, might be a perspective artifact though...

Looks pretty damn awesome Micke! I don't really see anything very wrong with any of them, except perhaps the lighting/shadowing on the last one, not sure I understand how many lightsources are affecting it and how... then again, it's just a sketch -- whatever the case is, the volume is well depicted, and it just looks awesome!

I envy you. =))
Keep up the excellent work Mikael!

I love the style, micke!

I wish I could sketch like that!

I do think that the nose in the third pic looks a little bit messed up, nothing major though.

I couldn't make up my mind . I like both of them ...before and after hand sketches .. they both have their own style .. I really like the one with no pencil sketch better though IU think .. is more mysterious . :_)

Hey nice sketching Micke.

couple o things on the last one bother me.

nostrils kinda look too far apart.

top lip looks kinda a weird shape and too big. and the right (our right) edge of the toplip sticks out too far.

The chin looks like it's really big and square (she's not related to Ahnoldt by any chance??) and the shading makes it look bent and jutting out to the right (our right)too much.

Just my opinion tho, I probably got it all wrong =)

What can I say, your black&white stuff is always awesome - highly graphic, well defined and balanced, and these are no exception!

I second Frost! =)

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, i can see a couple of things now!
-The right eye is a little wrong rendered.
Eyes are usually bulged, but i think i made a mistake while doing the shadows so it looks a bit wrong.

29a:Hmm i can't see any weird things about the nose, it's suppose to be perspective, like she has her head slightly tilted backwards, but maybe the shadows over it makes it look wrong. I'm not quite sure about this either. i would like to hear more about this.

Frost: Thanks The light is suppose to be
very close to the middle of the face and a
little way down, making the shadows cast
up.
Kos.mandis:Thank you. Yeah the mouth stinks pretty much. It's the dark spot on the right side of the lip. It's too dark.

Cos: I'm aware of the Nostrils, but people have different noses I'm not trying to say this as an excuse..Promise!
The top lip as i mentioned has this dark spot wich make it look weird. About the size: If you look at a face from underneath you will see more of the over-lip and less of the under-lip(try it in the mirror and you'll see). I think it's the same with the cheek and chin since it's a perspective.
she was also suppose to have her head
rotated a little bit to the right(our right).
It possible i screwed up, would like
to have more comments about this.

Fragmite: Yeah, i know i have a tendency of
doing static poses, one of my weak points,
thanks

Sfr: Thanks I like black and white, you can do things really quick, but i need to train on shading and colours. I don't
wanna get caught in this. But it's fun

Lange: tHanks!

I would really like more comments about the things pointed out, i could be wrong about a many things like the perspective.

Thank you all.

-Micke

micke...i think its the start of the nose (base) that is too wide, so it looks like its a strait nose(looking forward) but yet its tilted....

my opinion, my death

It might be what hurricane suggests, but I think it's mostly the shadows that does it...
If you look at the shadows on the rest of the pic, the light seems to come from above, but there is no shadow under the nose, thus making it look "flat". This together with that the nose seems to be more tilted than the rest of the face (this could just an effect of the missing shadow).

Even if the light isn't supposed to be from above, the nose still miss a shadow. Personally I'd say that the lightning is kinda wierd in the last one, but it isn't anything you notice unless trying to find something that might be improved...

Hehe, I like commenting other peoples work... It's so much easier than painting

Wow, those first two are great. The style reminds me a little of Frank Miller's comic - I can't remember the name, but it's very noirish. These are awesome.

The pencil sketch doesn't quite work for me. The mix of ink and pencil is really strange, and the shading seems to define some bulges where you probably don't want them, especially in the areas below the chin. They seem a little overworked.

yeah, i agree with you Mozeman, the pencil shading(shadows) are making the the shapes
look wrong in a lot of places. The large
black areas don't match that well either
(it was quicker to make them black than
shade them)

The light is not comming from above. It were
suppose to be very close to the face and a bit under, therefore i did'nt do any shadow under the nose. It's also the reason i kept the forehead darker and neck, but i can see the point of the shadowing and clumpsy shading, it makes the face look weird in many places.

Sedone:Thanks alot Cant wait to see your gallery.

Thanks for the feedback guys You've pointed
out things that i did'nt see at all.
Like i've said before. It's (very)easy to get
blind
Gonna draw a couple of more when i get home.

all hail micke. his girls have clothes on! wooooooooooooooooooooo haha

i know it's art to draw naked women all over the place, but still dont understand why most of the girls on here never have clothes? hehehe they get home and they should be like, man. its chilly. i should grab a JACKET. hahaha all the guys are clothed whats up with that.! (im not hinting! HEHE)

but anyway on the serious side, i was just being very VERY general. maybe it's all from most of the guys on the net being manly men releasing their guyness or something. hehe I love the hunteress pic (no offence at all, it's great!) etc and i think they're all cool and everything, but i just noticed something that i thought would be fun to bring up! =D

i just like how guys can show beauty even without the nudeness. Like the picture of the lady holding her head with her hands (from the webcam pic) and the lady made of fire (very awesome i love it!!!!) catches my attention even better.

hooray for art and seeing something different than the run of the mill nude girl.

ps. sorry if i offend anyone, just had to put in my .02

=)

You see people(most of the time)with
cloth on, and since i'm not a Fantasy art
fan, i don't do Naked Barbarian girls with swords.
But i do figure-drawing(i got tons of drawings of naked girls from those classes)

This morning People here at work started to point out that the girl in the third pic looks like me He he ! Guess My feminine sides shows through that one.

Reminds me of Tank Girl.
