I've finally finished this image and I was hoping I could get some feedback on it. It's the first digital painting I've ever done so my sense of color should get better as I get more work under my belt.
By the way, I've really enjoyed this forum. It's great to see what other people are doing.

Nice stuff Leisure! Especially considering it's your first piece of digital artwork. There are just a few things I'd like to mention: At first, I thought it was a huge tank on the shoreside, but after a couple of seconds I noticed it was a compound from a birds eye perspective. The drawing looks good, but somehow it lacks depth... Have a look at some of Spooge's images (i.e. Contact) and notice how he achived a sense of depth by using less vibrant colors and fogging. Hope this helped... Keep it up

It's nice. i like it. A good and unusual thing to do first (ie. it's not a guy or girl with a gun or a sword).
there's a hell of a lot that throws out the perspective though; that sloping roof in the bottom left hand corner for one; everything to the fore of that black eliptical building on the right looks a bit like it's bending downhill for another.
basically it's hard to tell if the whole complex is on the same plane of flat ground at times (maybe it's not).
Sadly, I can't tell you how to fix it. I'll leave that to the forum heroes and trouble shooters.
I does look good though, a bit like a matte from Neon Genesis Evangelion or something.

Yum, I like this one! Like someone already said, there's some weird things with the perspective and construction of the buildings. But I don't really mind that because it draws attention to the 2d nature of these shapes and thus gives the image a very different abstract sense of space than you would get with the usual aerial perspective etc.

Thanks for the feedback. You're right about the perspective and the lack of depth. I've been working on this image too long. I think I'll give it some time to rest and work on something new. Thanks again.
