This one is titled:
"Rendezvous" (hope I spelled that right)
6 hours, photoshop. Used photo for reference just for face only, redid lighting, added body and background. If you can find the photo reference, I'll give you a prize, cuz I did a horrible job on the likeness.

Looks really good... the hat looks a little off center, and the left side (character's right) could be a bit darker... but I love the lighting, and the mood of the pic...
Oh, and it's "Rendez-vous"

the face looks a little like a cardboard cutout i think probably because the hat should block the light not just make the lighting darker if you understand what i mean. sorry i suck at explaining things hehe |

Cool. I dig the subtlety of the car.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Very precise observations, heh.
Qory, I wanted the hat a little tilted
MOO, I probably should've shaded the right side of his face a bit more. As to the shadow from the hat, it is not as dark because there is light coming from the viewer's direction at a distance. (another set of headlights) You can tell this by the highlights on his face and the left side of his coat. Obviously, there is also light coming from above him to the left. (our right).
Fallen, I tried to keep the background simple, just enough to set the mood but not to draw too much attention, thus the sillouette. I'm glad you like the effect.
Hey, keep the comments coming!
BTW, just curious - can anyone tell who the guy is supposed to be? If you can't then I REALLY suck!

Bran muffins for all o' ya.... here.. here... you get one too... keep watchin them classics.
BTW, made a couple of adjustments on the pic:
shaded right side of face, darkened shadows, and lowered opacity of cig smoke to make it less distracting.

C'mon, Humphry Bogart at the end of Casablanca....
The lighting on his face seems weird. Not the shadows ast by the hat, but the shadows cast by his bone structure, they don't seem to follow the direction of the light in the upper right hand corner of the image. And if the car were that close he'd be backlit as well. As you got toward his edge, it would fade into something that very similar to a silhouette.
