This is a dig pic I have started working on from a pic I sketched in ps.
Not sure whether to make it some kinda head mounted up on wall with lots of weird pipes and machinery, (skulls too, skulls are good).. or maybe add some big shoulder pads and make it a character closeup, or maybe a character close up with big off shoulder pads made outta lotsa weird pipes and machinery! with skulls too of course ............twitch...twitch...

Wow, it looks great already. I would go for your first option and just put all mechanical stuff there.
What I'm wondering moreso, is how long did it take you (up to that stage) and is that the original res you worked in? |

Thanks Jason! I'm glad u like it so far. I think I will go for the first option cause, the way the mouth stretches so long probably would look a bit weird. Hmm not sure exactly how long it's taken.. maybe a few hours... Haven't really gotten into a set method that I use, I'm still experimenting new techniques all the time. Original res is higher than that but not all that high cause the stupid comp wants to keep crashin and says nooooo mr.cos it must be smaller, 20cm wide by 300 dpi I think...
Oscar thanks! the skin I just coloured in plain on a new layer set to multiply,
then used at 42% odd opacity with the same colour, multiply for the dark tones, screen for the light, and a bit of colour dodge for tints (at lower opacity). Then used the cloning tool on low opacity cloning bits of colour off the suit and other areas of the face which puts textures on it and it kinda worked, smudge tends to kill all the texture so I just try and use it for finer details.
I hope all that made sense . Thats how my brother works a lot, with cloning tool, So I tried that out and it worked better for me.
I will get him in a headlock and make him right a tut cause I think its a pretty cool method. Checked out your new site Digital Art Resource by the way, looks excellent! I was wondering if I can submit you some stuff to put in it?
Cheers %p
