Sup Yall,
First off this is the best graphics site around, and im glad to find such a tight community...Im a upcoming 16yrd artist in the game...have a few questions...
1. Being a Unemployed student (cept for small jobs), i can only limit my spendings, I'm stuck in photshop with a mouse...What is more worth my while as a 2D/slight 3d design artist, a Scanner or Tablet...
2. What are the best programs to use, I have PS5.5 w/ Eye Candy & KPT 5/3, and Illustrator 8... What should i look at for my next software purchases...
3. Any tutorials as goot as the one here around?
4. Any suggestions for an aspiring artist???
Thanks alot, and I am glad I stumbled upon this site.... |

Hey, welcome to the neighborhood
I think that if you had to pick one a tablet would be the better investment. Someone likened drawing with a mouse to drawing with a brick once and i think thats a real good way to think of it.
As far as programs, someone else would have to answer that, because i only use photoshop and 3dstudiomax for my work. Another program you may want to look into is Painter 6, which is the best program around for simulating real world painting materials.
anyhoo, good luck with the art and hope you find these forums useful in your growth!
