Guess I just felt like expressing myself. It's something I did in one sitting in a few hours using photoshop.

I would have posted this in an already existing thread but, none recent were suitable. :-/
Whatever.

WOW. I think it's magnificent. Like Loki said, the colors are great. The lighting is very good coming in from off the canvas. I really like the idea behind it also. It almost calls for a story or a children's fable. |

wow! this is great! love the lighting and the details and especially the concept. the perspective of the front of the locomotive seems to be a little off to me, i.e. facing the viewer more than it should be.. maybe its just me.

Hey Frosty!
That's one wicked picture! And what an awesome motive.. I really like stuff like this... If you manage to clean it up a bit, (smoothen out the lines, sharpen things up here and there) it'll rock!!
Keep believing in yourself mate,
Danny

Wow! Thank you all *very* much for the nice comments. It somehow makes it worthwhile when people get to see the work you do instead of just lying on your harddrive, waiting for a crash. =)
Napalm and Zapman: Yes, you are both absolutely correct - the perspective IS off in front of the machine. I corrected it slightly, but the main angle is off. I'll do better next time. =)
I'll try posting the original (1600x1000) later on... I'm getting late for work... =)
thanks to all.

Frost, see, what have I told you.
The picture REALLY looks great, I love that metal. Seems alot of scene ppl are turning to that "oil painting" style, and its really turning out great.
Orome, Danny, nice to see you guys.

Back from work...
Thank you all again for the great comments, it's very heart warming. =)
Here's the full version of it, for those interested: cloudmaker (full)
I'd just like to mention that although it is a "fine" pic, I think there is so much better to be done. The picture is WAY unbalanced, has perspective problems, etc. The major flaw is that I didn't spend time 'thinking' about the picture, it just sort of came out naturally as I was doodling in photoshop (drawing clouds) while on the phone (which I refined, etc.) -- not a good way to draw images. =)
Thanks again for all your encouraging comments!
