I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm currently teaching the 7th run of my online art workshop, Becoming A Better Artist: Critical Knowledge & Techniques For Todays Artist.
It is a very comprehensive and intensive art boot camp that doesn't just teach you the critical knowledge and techniques that today's artists must know in order to be taken seriously as competent artists (from the essential foundations of visual art to the cutting-edge advanced concepts and techniques), but also explores the crucial importance of having a compelling creative vision, knowing your purpose as an artist, expressing yourself effectively through your artwork, and deal with common problems that artists face, such as feeling lost, confused, self-loathing, fear of failure, lack of motivation, and so on.
All the details about the workshop can be seen here, including week-by-week breakdown of what will be taught and explored:

The discussion thread where I've answered lots of questions regarding the workshop is here (including comments from past students):

Some past student testimonials:
"I have never before came across such knowledgable experience. I have already learnt more than two people could dream of. The class notes literally blow my mind with sudden realisations and its turning me into a much more aware person when it comes to general observation and artistic skills. I couldn't recommend your workshop enough really. I always partially believed in blessings and you are truly one of them. Thanks mate!"
- Josh Bailey, student October - December 2010
"This course value just paid off, in my opinion, after the first week alone."
- Jacek Krzykowski, student June - August 2010
"You've now set an impossibly high bar for all my future teachers"
- Suresh V. Selvaraj, student July 2011
"You know those times in life when you think about your choices at a given time, were they good, were they bad? Who would i be if turned left on that road instead of right? Well, now i look back and i`m so happy that i make the turn into this workshop. I was lost. Without any clue of how to achieve my goals, overwhelmed with information, overwhelmed by amazing work being posted everyday, and absolutely no idea how to get there. Every Monday morning i felt like a kid unwrapping the Christmas presents while i was reading through the notes, even the anticipation " New notes tomorrow...sweeet!". Everything was so well organized, written and exemplified for our needs as an artist, the assignments so well planned to push you further, step, by step, with precise feedback."
- Luis Gama, student May - July 2011
"When I initially read the class description and objectives I thought that it was all too nice to be true ... I started the class with the hope that it would at least partially meets its goals but I am very glad to have found out that the course meets all its goals and that it has given me much more then I could ever hope for. I have been going to art school for 5 years but this course managed to teach me so much more in just a couple of weeks ..."
- Steven De Saeger, student January - March 2011
There are a lot more student testimonials on the workshop details page.
I have already taught 7 runs of this workshop, and if you read the rest of the student testimonials in the workshop details page, you'll see just how passionate many of the students felt about the workshop--for some, it was a life-changing experience that transformed them from insecure, confused, and frustrated artists, to confident, motivated, and productive creative talents that knew exactly what they want, how to get there, and how to keep fulfilled and passionate each step of the way. |
