First off, let me reintroduce myself. My name is Ron Lemen, I went by fredflickstone for quite a while. I have been mostly offline lately due to workload, but I am stepping back into the net, tangling myself again in its grip, and posting instruction for all of you to gain something from, hopefully pass it on and give to all your art friends in need of some art assistance. I don't have a lot up there yet, but that is changing weekly.

I also own a school in Encinitas, Ca. with my wonderful wife Vanessa, studio2ndstreet.com is the place. 2nd street by the beach is our place. If you are in the neighborhood at some point, please stop by, and if nothing more, just say hi.

okay, so the full site will not be up until a little after the first of the year. In the meantime, this will be the temporary location for any new videos I put up related to the site.

http://lemenaid.blogspot.com/

The site is dedicated to the drawing and painting problems we face as artists. If you have any suggestions on videos you think would be useful, tips you think might make life easier for you as an artist, be it traditional or digital, post them here or on the blog and I will attempt in my life of little time to address what I can. This blog, site, is a living site; it is fueled by your artistic needs, and what I see as a reoccurring problem with my students. The more we interact on these issues, the clarity we will have as artists.

A big concept overlooked mostly in school, you are learning to PROBLEM SOLVE, which means, solutions for problems. Education isn't just making you into a better draftsman, that education is feeding you with correctional devices for when your pictures don't work the way you want them to, either technically, emotionally, or in how they communicate their intention.

You've more than likely seen the videos already, but I appreciate it if you stop by and leave some feedback there, a more universal spot for me to go to regularly. Thank you all TONS AND TONS. My goal is to help make all this art stuff easier for all of us to do, and I hope you get more than your fill with it.

Hey Ron, great to see you around these parts again. And still helping other artists too.

Have you produced anything digitally in recent years?

This is great! i've always been a fan of free information regarding painting (probably why i've been around this place for quite a while)

Sure, there are tons of books about art training, but it's always nice when someone puts the effort in and transferres this to a modern platform.

And well, i have to admit i've always been a fan of your threads here over at sijun too.

I think the video about measuring was good, picked up some ideas there that got me thinking about how i measure long distances. Gonna try this out at the weekly life drawing sessions i've been attending.

i will keep an eye out for updates!
