I just bought myself a gift, a Sanyo Xacti TH1.
It's using MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 encoding, and apparently VirtualDub and Premiere 6 that I've been using aren't up to standards anymore..

So what are you all using for video editing nowdays?

Preferably something ultra-light, because my laptop isn't exactly a racehorse either.

PS: Buying a digi cam is a pain in the arse these days because pixel resolution increases daily, and the prices are all f*ked up because of that (price & quality are not always parallel). But I got what I wanted - HD 720p, 60fps slo-mo, ultra small, 3.5 hour battery, fisheye thread, $190.
