Hi there

It's been a while since my last update. I haven't had much time for personal stuff in the last
2 years because I am studying ID which really keeps me busy big-time,
especially when you try to keep a social life next to it

Anyway, I just wanted to make all the work public!
Mostly new concept art, lots of sketches and watercolor paintings in the sketchbook section.
Some 3d stuff...illustrations, yeah, that's about it. I hope it's inspiring!

By the way, my next term at ID will be an internship and I can hardly wait to join a game development company.
Right now I am sending out resume and portfolio. So,.....I am avaliable for work, willing to relocte and highly motivated, oh yeah!

The pictures are great.

I'm not a big fan of the dark-pastels of the website design, or some of the fonts used in the design. They might just be personal preferences.

Suma: Thanks for your honest critique. Not sure what you mean with dark pastels. The fonts are maybe too spacey? I guess thats a taste thing ;D thx

well the fonts on menu are relatively heavy to read. Too wide, a's, e's hard to figure out quickly what they are. It doesn't REALLY matter because there's only like 3 words to read in that font, but when you have to read more of that stuff, it gets really seriously difficult. In content area the text is kinda blurry, not solid forms, makes it difficult to read. Reading text should be as easy as possible, it should be automatic. The less you think about the fonts and letters when reading, the better..



But the art is great! Fantastic stuff!

Your work is excellent...the high contrast style is quite appealing to the eyes. Women are a fun subject to do As for the website design, it seems easy to navigate, the only thing I dislike (I see this on a lot of other artists' sites too) are the cropped thumbnails. I think the presentation would be more effective if the thumbnail was of the full composition. but other than that, the works are impressive, clearly the work of a skilled hand!

med: Thank you very much med! Hmm, about the thumbnails.
Actually I wanted to create some kind of interest by showing just parts of the image.
Also design wise it was easier for me.
However showing the whole image has it's advantages too, that's right.

Hi Max,

I like your work, there's some cool stuff there. I like the marker looking storyboard stuff in the environments.

About the site design. I think there's a bit too many categories. The typeface and graphic design are not that good either. I mean, I'd make everything a bit more simple so that the viewer would focus on the art, not the website.

I'd also lose the 3d stuff as that's clearly your weakest field at the moment.

You have a lot of potential, and I think it could be showcased better with a slightly improved site design. Just my two cents!
