Try www.eccentrix.com it's the one I use, they give you 20 megs for free and best of all no pop-up's or ads! |

Like it was said before I have seen the same kind of post elsewhere...I also remember seeing a post about how unprofessional it looks when talented artist have to resort to getting hosted on places like geocities or angelfire.
If I had the know how, time and money I would set up my own web hosting service that would host digital and traditional artists' web pages. I mean when you look at the gaming community there are many places that host clans, and mods so I am sure someone could do it. Maybe someone has done this already and I don't know about it... In that case ignore everything I jsut said. |

I was just thinking the same thing several days ago. I could be enticed to start up a webhosting service exclusively for the digital art community if there is enough demand for it... I cannot afford to offer 20 megs of space right now, but if there is enough interest from people on this forum then we can work something out.
Also, with many artists hosted by the same provider, there would be much more exposure to the masses than each individual would be able to obtain on his/her own...
Anyway... if you are interested let me know, because I am certainly interested in providing the service (as long as there is enough demand).
Another plus would be that I will personally work with you on the terms of the hosting agreement, just let me know what you need. |
