Any bass player here at Sijun? I just picked up this bad boy (used Warwick Corvette $$ Double Buck 5-String):





I love this description from Warwick:

Getting this bass came with a lot of drama though. I had to replace a broken switch that was damaged during shipping (had to solder all the electronics myself since I'm too cheap to pay for someone else to repair it), remove all the rust with a rust remover since the original owner was such a bad owner, and replace the strings because the supposedly new strings the original owner put on it sounded deader than a....I dunno, a plate of sashimi? But after all that work, my Warwick's certainly sounding like the wild beast it's meant to be. My neighbor's going to hate me even more now. As if my drums and guitars and keyboards aren't enough to keep him from watching his TV in peace...

Nice guitar you have there. I play guitar and have a penchant for bass. I don't own one but am capable of standing in and laying down simple progressions for those that want to jam. I love bass guitar; I just don't have the time to practice like I want.

John Paul Jones has always been my big influence. Phil Lesh is amazing as well.

Nice looking bass, though it has 4 more strings than it really needs.

I've been eyeing off Steinberger guitars from the US range recently. I've long been a fan, and keep thinking I might get one.

Hard to justify though, given how much of a casual player I am. I haven't even plugged my electric guitar in for 13+ years, I just play it like an acoustic.

I would like to play bass also (guitar at the moment), but sadly most basses look to me like molten cheese. So round n smooth and jamaican relaxywaxy I played wiv my friends bass sometimes and it sux cuz i only have 4 Fingers lol The strings are so fat and i can spread my fingers SOOOOO far

In general I prefer the larger movements I can make on the bass, although I've been playing guitar for about 10 years and just started bass a couple weeks ago. I like to get all physical when I play anything (that's why I love playing drums). With the guitar, the movements are so dainty in comparison. Whenever I pick up the guitar after playing bass for an hour or so, I have to readjust to the guitar since I'll exert too much force and bend the strings all over the place, and the fret scale is so tiny in comparison.

Haha yeah, i noticed that also. After i played bass and picked up my guitar again i first thought....is this some kind of kids toy?? But my hands are small and with my handycap it sux a little already on my guitar. Sometimes i wish i had a 3/4 guitar lol
