download the Dynasties Fan Site Kit and unzip it, you'll see 3 awesome artworks and no doubt they are done by Mullins, arent they?

Good odds I'd think. They look Spooge'esque, and he did work for the earlier AoP games. Nice spot.

those were cool, really cool! no matter who did them but first one was really spooge-like, especially the banners.

On a side note, what the hell is google ads up to, this page had following ad:

"Open identity Semen Donor"

Shocked

mm I don't think it's Mullins. Looks Mullins-like in the style, but the characters especially are not as good as his usual stuff. I think they asked someone to make something spooge like. They are great pictures though, but there are some slight errors that Mullins usually doesn't make, in character construction, lighting etc.

Nah, I think they're Craig's work. The faces are a little mushy, but that's true of most of his quick concept work. And they definitely *did* use him for the previous Age of Empires game, so it stands to reason they'd hire him again, rather than get a blatant copy-cat.

If they *did* hire someone else to clone his look, that'd be pretty sleazy (but not entirely surprising).

People at the office suspected it's not Mullins, but who knows how old these are, and how quickly they were done.

The anatomy errors surprised me a bit though.

The 3 full-scene concepts are definitely Spooge, but the character stuff is not him for sure.

I've yet to see anyone be able to look THAT much like Spooge when doing a full-blown complex illustration. I'd be quite surprised if it's not him.

Would anyone be kind enough to screen cap them? (Worth a shot!)

Thanks man, I appreciate that.

That's defintely spooge's work - but the sunset one has had some further work done on it by someone else. I suppose they needed to alter the costume, or had some other change of heart after spooge's job had been completed. Also true of the burning building scene, in the background for sure.

Lovely images. The elephants back is so nice. Spooge's talent is so raw, he makes an art of such brazen simplifications (eg. the organised soldiers, or the use of colour in this picture: link.)

Great images...

I was having doubts whether they were done by him looking at the first two; ie. some cut-and-paste photo elements popping out too much, probably done in a rush or altered by others... but the elephant one convinced me that it was him, especially in the accuracy of value and effectiveness of each strokes done on the soldiers. Simply mind-boggling. This guy just keeps raising the bar, dammit.

That China is just pure beauty!
The first thing that I thought was that "Oh, so my monitor supports THAT many colors?"
Another interesting thing that I noticed was that soldiers on the left side of the emperor is looking left, and soldiers on the right side is looking right. That seems to make the emperor more powerful, and clear that he is the man.
