The browser? I've been using 2 since its release, but didn't use 1 so cant make a comparison.

I love it. And there's a plugin for everything I wanted it to do.

Yeah, i meant going from 1.5 to 2.0
I use DictionarySearch and Greasemonkey (scripting). Perhaps i'll just install it and hope nothing goes out of wack.

I just switched back to 1.5... I got tired of the crashing on both my PCs, on both their OS's. And besides, the charamel theme doesn't seem to work on 2.

Hmm, i updated to 2.0 but didn't have problems so far.
The only thing is that they changed the Close Tab (X) button on the top right. I used to close windows with that button, but now i have to move cursor to each tab to close it. Dat sux, i'll sue them for wasting my precious time and energy like that!!! Very Happy

I hate the [x] being on each individual tab as well. I wish there was an option to set it to the 1.5 way.

Otherwise I really like the browser.. use it almost exclusively.

There are plugins to remove the [x]. I use Tab Control 0.3.3 to do that, for example.

Well, i just want the [X] on the right to work the old way. And so the tabs don't become scrollable when there are many of them. So basically everything like in v1.5. Does that plugin do that too?

PS: QuakeRally was the shit!

I don't know what tabs were like in 1.5 so I couldn't say. But there are several tab plugins, and there's good odds someone else wanted them like 1.5.

Another plugin I use is Tab Control which does heaps of stuff.

Yea i checked Tab Control. Good stuff! I used just the tab size option (so they don't scroll left and right) and "remove X from tabs"option. The lil ^ button on the right is still there, but i can't complain.

Just press ctrl-w to close the tab you're viewing.

Type "about:config" in the address bar. That will take you to the advanced FF options. You can change the tab closing behaviour by changing the value for browser.tabs.closeButtons, just set it to 3 for one button closing (the obvious correct way to do it, IMO). You might be able to figure out how to change that other stuff while you're at it.

And yes, I know it's not intuitive at all. I only know about it because the close buttons on all the tabs were driving me nuts and I hunted down a way to fix it.

After inflating the balloon, you may want to "burp" it by letting some air out of it before tying a knot. This softens the balloon a bit.

I experienced crashing with 2.0 too when I installed it. It turned out, that you will HAVE to have something in the bookmarks toolbar folder. If its empty, the browser crashes all the time.
