I'm not a huge fan of photomanips so take this with a pinch of salt, but for me at least the "manips" actually take away from the "photos".

Sumaleth ... these manips are mostly about manipulating the color ... not color correction, but seriously changing color to either enhance or "de"hance areas, There is also some shape manipulation in many of the photos. It is a technique I've been working on for a while and I'm actually going back over all of my "good" photos and applying the technique. Below is an animated GIF that sort of shows what's happening. It animates on a 5 second cycle.
NeFF ... Sorry if I've upset you. It was my understanding that Sijun deals with artwork of all kinds, with a focus on digital artwork. Perhaps no-one else does, but I do consider the nature of my digital photography to be artwork, so this seemed to be the place to show it off.

| Eyewoo, you have good hand. I like the pictures. Maybe you like to speak to dogs :D Frankly, word "manipulation" is difficult to define regarding "correct" colors, values etc. (I could directly call Bob's work a manipulation easily after seeing his'') I remember when I used laptop with crappy screen, so I used Nikon capture (or something equipped as RAW converter) so I used some settings a lot that can be called manipulations by other on the "right" monitor while showing heavily coloured, some sharpened (unfortunately sensor is equipped with mask as with cheap cameras). If I was you, I'd blame on a crappy camera and purchase Leica R9 with digital back and nice lenses :). I'm joking. Im happy to see you moving on digital more and I always enjoying of your creativity. cheers tomas :D |

Thanks Tomasis... There is more manipulation than just color and value in many of the photos ... check the flag one above. it's a 5 second animated GIF, so you have to let it sit for awhile to see the manip...
Here are a couple more. The mannequins is a manip from two separate photos. The portrait is mainly just color manipulation:

The rose is meant to be displayed as a series of two in one frame
...and the dogwood is meant to displayed as two separate photos close together
