Since I know how hard and challenging illustrations for Children's books/magazines can get, I appreciate your work. Looks really really great. Especially the way those audiences, fans show their expressions. Trying to catch the 'hit' and the 'catch' Smile And that 'seller guy' or 'salesguy' -or whatever you call them- try to see that moment also looks very nice.. Details are very fun to check out...

Children are lovely, so they deserve lovely books like these I guess Wink

Nice work eyewoo.

How long ago did you start children's illustrations? I swear I've seen some of your work when I was in grade school Smile

Phil, I wanted to ask you, when doing these illustrations do you try to feel every person you draw. Pretend your in there seat, or playing ball, really get into them? My dad just got accepted to the Institute of childern's literature writing little kids books. I showed him some of your work he really enjoyed it.

seth1...

When I was a kid, I loved creating little worlds with paper and pencil, often with a Rube Goldberg spin to them. As i worked on them, I tunnel visioned into them... Its a bit different for me now, but, yes... as i'm working on these illustrations I do get into the characters and groupings of characters along with a lot of other stuff, like composition, balance, color... etc... Smile

Eye, those are simply wanderfull to look at. I wish they made more cartoons with your style. My #1 all time reason for watching certain cartoons is the way they look. That's one reason I watch spongebob and the magic school bus, and not cartoons like pokemon. I like the style!! Keep it up.
