i want to brag about getting that honor.
i figured it had to do with posting this 2mb deal
but then the images would be removed...
(yes, i'm only banned from uploading pics)
that sumaleth thing seemed nice, but it would be better titled "prude web hosting", i'm sure they would get more money with "family photo album hosting" like everyone else.
"Liquenox Hosting cannot be used to display, store, or link to the following:
* Illegal or copyright-infracting material of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to, software, music, or information which is used for illegal purposes.
* Pornographic material. "
so what are the average hosting costs for nudity / offending material? is there a tax for this? or what? _________________ red alert fogger5:04 snake4:43 22khzmono |

I'm afraid you'll find that just about every webspace reseller that isn't a dedicated adult content host will prohibit "indecent" material. Sumaleth is likely just using the policies of whoever he's reselling for.
How much this is enforced varies from company to company. I know my host used to prohibit "satanic content", although it seems to no longer be in their current policy.
Would putting some Doom maps up on your site qualify as satanic? Who knows. Ultimately, if you're not straining their servers or generating piles of bad press, most hosting companies just want to keep getting your money. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |
