nice, the textural look especially, and how it transforms into abstraction towards the bottom left. I don't quite like how the volcano itself looks though, I'd think that when volcanoes erupt, they blow off much of the mountain top, also given the steepness and height of that mountain as well as how isolated it is, and looking at the extent of the eruption (lava flows everywhere), perhaps it may not even be standing by now (unless it's like a perpetual flow and the molten rock has built up over time to form it). Well I'm not great at geography though, so I'm probably just rambling on.
Having said that, did you consult any reference? If not for the scene, at least how lava looks and sprays. _________________ Derelict Studios|Godwin's Space |

Cool, but you could really get some atmospheric perspective on by making the volcano more hazy and employing the smoke more liberally. _________________ "Keep on beating and sharpening a sword, and the edge cannot be preserved for long." -Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching |

if you want to keep it like this without changing the volcano part i think you should add more details to manipulate it to be a girl's face and the lava can be her hair
a thought? |
