I use photobucket right now, but if you all know of any free sites out there that host better image quality pictures and are faster than photobucket that'd be great.
Just for the record I did search for this and found no other topics, also this obviously excludes people with their own domain names since they can host stuff on their own sites...I think... |

To be fair, I don't blame you. Searching for "Free Webhosts" brought up a plethora of results, from all the forums. This one was tucked under Random Musings. _________________ QED, sort of. |

Thanks! I'm beyond overwhelmed at the huge list of available sites.
I can't really add a poll because there are so many links there, but as a follow-up question to my original query, which site do you prefer?
(Right now I'm thinking about switching from photobucket to 'ProHosting', the free account type. It seems to allow for a good amount of monthly bandwidth...but i don't know a whole lot about that in the first place) So again, any advice or just sharing your personal preferences would be great |

I pay for Sumaleth's hosting service, Liquenox. I've long since given up on trying to deal with free hosting. File size limit, bandwidth limit, file restrictions, http upload interfaces..
It's easier to pay 4 bucks a month (a cup of coffee!!) for your own house. _________________ QED, sort of. |

even a moderate amount of server space is pretty cheap to rent, and far more reliable. _________________ Earth under attack by paper mache aliens; world leaders plead - 'Save us! Doctor Who!' |

Thanks for the advise. If I think I need more space I may switch to this Linquenox you speak of; but the thing is I'm not a profession artist (like all of you) *gasp* the secret is out. I've been lurking in this sacred hall of insane art for many months, and i might post some of my own stuff for crits soon, even if it's nowhere near as good as all your stuff.
All that to say it's not worth the money for me just yet. Thanks for all the info though. |
