I had no idea posting job ads was not authorized but that insulting people without a motive was.

personally, I thought the pic was pretty good.
Don't know about typography, Skittles candies had on their website font that made "Skittles" look like "Shittles".. could have been worse, right. |

Was just an open call for comic colorists. It did seem a little odd that they put a closing date of January 1st for what seemed like a job posting more than a contest, but whatever. I sent them some samples.

I've not seen the original post before Dreamwave's edit, so maybe I'm missing something here, but forum policy is as follows:
a/ Anyone is free to post about legitimate art-related jobs and competitions (in either Digital Art Discussion or Random Musings), even if it is their first post.
b/ First posts made for purely advertising purposes are deleted.
The post that has been described to me sounds to be from category a/ more than b/. In which case it was a legitimate post and I'd encourage Dreamweave to re-post it. (and Hamster/Freebooter might want to PM an apology somewhere)
Thread locked, and will be deleted in a day or two.
