Can someone help me out here, or tell me if they have had the same experiences with Photoshop 5.5?
When I try to boot up Photoshop, it loads everything...then at the VERY last minute, pops up w/ the cryptic message......'Photoshop could not initialize due to an error'
WTF? That's all it tells me. I have the legit disc for it in storage elsewhere, and don't feel like digging thru masses of boxes and other crap to reinstall. Any way to fix this?
Thanks,

'a program error', eh?
This should fix it:
Make backups of the files 'Adobe Photoshop 5.5 prefs.psp' and 'photos55.ini' in the settings directory, and then delete the originals. Photoshop should now start up. You'll have to set your settings again.
This won't prevent it from happening again, though.. I have no idea why it happens. |
