Hi Finer,
The midnight one looks solid, cant give any crit really.
Id really love the first image was it not for one issue. The surroundings and the car are just awesome. The creature is good too, but the characters look to me like pasted in photos. Not meaning that they are, but I think the lighting is the reason for giving that impression. After all the muzzle flash lighting isnt white but yellowish and still the persons are all lit like from one of those white light tubes.
Itd be really lovely to see that issue worked over, but I guess they are finals and approved? Well I hope the crit is still helpful. All in all good work. |

The first one is lovely, but at the same time I agree with glitter.
Elements not unified enough in some characteristic or other making it a little false-feeling and taking away from the drama.
That's a harsh take on it, all in all, it's impressive work. |

Nice pics! Its true that the lighting on the peeps seems a bit off considering its just muzzle flash. You could possibly get away with that lighting/rendering setup on the people if you rendered the heads of the monster as detailed/photographically. Right now the monster heads are relatively undefined(although that neck part is lovely :] _________________ -Anthony

Excellent work, Anders! I like especially the first one. However, It's kinda looks like battle between static and dynamic picture. The left side is stopped and right side is running away. The next picture if this would be a comic strip the picture would propably be torn apart from the first 1/3. But it still gives nice feeling.
about the 2nd picture: Only the light on the ground seems a little bit too strong to me. It kinda distracts my eye from the characthers too much.
I hope to see soon more works from you! |

Excellent work, the concepts are great. Apart from the lighting in the first which does feel a bit strange, although I can also understand at the same time that for a book cover you are probably trying to make the characters faces clear... the thing that bothers me is the lack of expression in their faces. They are way too calm looking.. certainly not horrified. Excellent work overall though, really great composition. |
