I just got my first tablet (Wacom Intuos3 A4) on monday. Previously I've done about 5 digital paintings with mouse, and with all of them I've used a reference photo. This is my first try with a tablet as well as my first attempt with out a reference picture.
The whole pic got started when i demonstrated the wacom for my friend.
You can see the progression at www.lauriahonen.com/speedpaint.html by clicking the image.
Let me know what you think.

Hyvlthn tuo nytt, ainakin meiklisen raapustuksiin verrattuna. Hiukan saattaa olla anatomia pieless, ainakin silmien kohdalta. Hienoa jlke..

It looks like youre using the dodge tool for highlights. If you are, you may want to try to paint your highlights and shadows in instead.
If you look at people and objects around you, very rarely are the highlights just white, if ever.
Just my opinion though. I think you did a nice job. |
