Hi everyone. I joined this forum awhile ago but could never quite figure out how to post an image. So I hope this works. Cover for a book club magazine.

nice, indeed!

The only thing i notice off hand is that the gun looks a tiny bit "less real" than the rest of the picture, if you take my drift.. maybe it just looks to little metalic for me. . Laughing

I like it a lot.

Although is he supposed to be looking at the hologram thing? It looks like he's looking above it.

Very nice. I thought it all 3d at first Smile

Only the Captain is made in PS though, right?

Edit:
Oh, and is the captain Billy Connoly or WHAT? =D

Hi,

thanks for replying. I'm glad I finally figured how to post stuff. I've learned alot about digital art from the folks on this forum. I'll try not to lurk too much.

Diruo: The environment was built in 3DS Max 4.3. Textures, holograms and everything else sketched and painted in photoshop 7. I tried doing the holos in max but it was easier to do in PS. LOL, no he's not billy connoly. stiking resemblance though.

Sumaleth: He actually is looking above the center holo at some holographic text that I put in the scene. I put a bunch of text in that nobody but me would really care about or look for. Mainly just did it for story elements.
