Size doesn't matter, as long as you use what you've got well. _________________ QED, sort of. |

Impaler is lying.
Of COURSE size matters! Always has, always will. From paychecks, to meal portions, IQ to washing machines, clothing and shoes to personal endowments, male OR female...
I've got a 9x12 intuos, and honestly can't imagine trying to use one of the "baby" tablets. I lucked out and got mine for $169 through a special Natl Assn of PS Pros deal with Wacom (the savings justified the NAPP membership fees for that year!).
Always get the largest tablet you can afford. It's SO much nicer to be able to make large, or sweeping gestures when painting, if you have a tablet large enough to accomodate your creativity. _________________ Life is short. Expect nothing, enjoy everything.

Size does matter but its a very personal thing. There are people like sweetums who must have the biggest. There are also people who are the exact opposite and perfectly happy with a 4x5. I have read in another forum that a pretty prominant artist bought a 6x8 but have to trade it in for a 4x5.
If you take the effort to browse more forums, you will find that the majority of people who commented on the subject consider the 6x8 as the ideal size. Go for a bigger one if you believe you need to make large strokes most of the time, and you have ample desk space. Go for a smaller one if you are very apt in painting with a mouse, and like the feeling that a small hand movement will produce a large stroke. |
