I'm doing this splash screen for a zobie-slaughtering game, but I'm not sure the anatomy is working. I have a feeling his far arm is placed too high . . . what do you guys think? Any suggestions? Maybe I just need to make it more clear that the camera is slightly above him. Nose is too low, I'll fix that.

Should've spent more time on the sketch . . . it's the story of my life. And I'm totally breaking the "develop the whole picture at once" rule. Sue me.

To me it looks like the nose is not only too low, but it faces the viewer way more than the rest of the face.
The back arm looks kinda wrong, the forearm too short maybe and also something about the pose. It looks like he has a really underdeveloped arm and the hand is kind of small too. Sorry for not making more sense, but I cant put my crits in better words right now.

I think the anatomy looks ok.
It would be nice to see the guy with some more detailed legs... As it is now there are two things that "work against" understanding the perspective, IMO; the fact that he's slightly bent forward, and that he looks somewhat fat, maybe the legs are the visual clues you need...

regarding the far arm, I think though it could go lower (well, change the angle, not the shoulder height), it's just looking a bit sausage-like, partly because it's still undeveloped, but also the wrist hand silhouette is looking below par.

It's looking great, and I love the drawing of the zombie on the left, great!

I think the whole head is too low, looks like he got no neck. Also looks like that back arm is too high to meet up with his left shoulder

try doing a quick cut and paste job and see if it looks better

hope this helps

hehheh, thanks for the feedback guys. His arms and legs are just thrown in there at the moment, I've spent no time on them at all. I want to get the placement right first.

I think I will shoot some reference images of myself to help figure it out.

I think he's more flexible than I am on the neck rotation Smile

Not an easy angle, I think you need to sort out the rotation of the upper torso vs the pelvis , it seems like the upper torso is slightly 3/4 with the left shoulder more forward. The left upper arm seems short.
