this is from a speedpainting i posted a couple a days ago....
like i said there,i got silmarillion on the brain-if u guys like lord of the rings and havent read it...read it! this is the Noldor city of Gondolin.it was hidden in the mountains and the only way to get there was the great eagles....

That is one of those pieces that confuse me somehow (as an artist). The eagle in front is not interated into the pic as I would expect it (or I would have done it) and it�s also kinda rough, but still it works so well with the pic the way it is. Was that intentionally or did it rather just turned out like that?
I like it but I don't understand why this works...

antx-welll...i wanted the eagle to pop,so i used a hard brush 100% opacity...all i was really concerned with was getting the values to seem right,know what i mean?
