cool, though i dont like how you didnt fill in the line art completly

i like the glowing textured background... but it takes over the picture, and the whole thing looks like a giant texture imho... maybe if the lights/dark areas were more spread out... or if you carried the loose rendering job of the face into spawn, it'd probably read better.. maybe try approaching the values according to the forms rather than the linear outline (ie not just "painting by numbers")?

keep working on those drawing skills. you've got a good start, just keep polishing. There are some general anatomy probelms. This image could also stand to use some sharp lines (in terms of the texture you've chosen). It's rediculously blury and confusing, but a few sharper bits in there to accentuate the shapes would do wonders.

i love spawn, and this does him no injustice. the only thing i'd have to say is that it's a little edgey. everything is like mechanical almost, atleast to me. but other than that, it's great.
