Entertainment company is seeking to add a highly-talented, Anime-style, Webcomic Artist to its art staff. The original flagship product is a roleplaying game, but the company is seeking to also produce a webcomic that will serve as the basis for a graphic novel. The setting is a Space Western with hard sci-fi elements set in an alternate future, something of a combination of "Mobile Suit Gundam" and "Cowboy Bebop".
The company is seeking candidates who can produce a Megatokyo-style manga (i.e., black & white pencil illustration) based on the companys original novels to post regularly on its website. For an example of the format, please see
http://www.megatokyo.com/
The company will provide the script, mecha designs, and at least some of the character designs. If the webcomic is successful, a graphic novel version is planned for publication.
Please submit a cover letter and a detailed summary of experience, salary history, salary requirements, references, and either sample art or a link to an online portfolio. Strong preference for those in Los Angeles county.
This is an offer for freelance Work-For-Hire. However, it is paid, the pay is Fair Market Value (based on experience and work rendered), and, depending on the quality and timeliness of work rendered, successful candidates may be able to expect regular Work-For-Hire.
Please email all replies to [email protected] and include Webcomic Artist in the subject line.
