It depends what kind lines you want. Alot of pros use brushes with India Ink. Other use crow qill nibs. I recommend Hunts 102 its pretty stiff but flexible enough to create various thickness. As for ink use Higgins Black Magic. Hope it helps laters. |

I personally use the following pens to ink
Assuming you understand the measurement unit "points".
1) Pigma Micron 005 (tan in color if you have a hard time seeing them on shelves) (.5 point line, very thin, good for small hatching, especially for face detail)
2) Pigma Micron 01 or Staedtler .01 Point drawing pen, Basically a good thickness for outer forms, but use the 005 for detailing
3) Pigma Micron 08 or higher. All good inked comic art should have a thick outline around the outside of the entire form (and only the outside). 8 pt lines are good and thick
Anyway, this is just what I use, along with a few pros. A good ink investment. You'll thank me once you see how hard it is to use india ink and a brush pen or quill nibs that rip your paper if you're not careful.
