Here is my latest illustration. Tell me what you think or if there is anything I should change about the lighting?

hey. pretty nice. I think the colors are pretty nice, but then I'm no color theory expert by any stretch. Compositionwise, the only thing I myself would change are the woman's eye(s). The title is Dragon Watcher, so I would have probably had it show her actually looking down at the dragons, maybe even to the point where all you see of her eye is the eyelid covering it as she looks down. But thats just a small little personal preference really. Otherwise, good stuff. _________________ "Life is like a box of ACTIVE GRENADES!" |

it would probably help to increase the shadowing - for example, have a distinct light source you can work from, and add a shadow cast by her body as well as the dragons' bodies, and the tree, esp. at the base, also the side of the rock form she's sitting on... etc
i like the mood of this piece, and the concept is neat
the girl's proportions are off - the way her head and neck connect to her shoulders is kinda odd - maybe defining the colarbone will help some - her body seems kinda odd too, and maybe her hand is a little small
hope you update this if you add to it =) _________________ ~a shadow, a moment, a memory-- a monument, a legend, a legacy~ |
