Started out as a sketch while on the phone, comments and critiques would be great.

sure looks like him.... as far as I remember...

my 2 cents:

the face looks a little skewed from top right to bottom left...

the underside of the nose looks quite flat...

but I think those are minor nitpicks..

Thanks for the reply... Just came back to mention that I DID TRACE THE OUTLINE ON THE RIGHT, AS WELL AS THE SIGNATURE. The rest was done by hand without reference.

Anyway, I do notice some serious skewing in the face as well... I think that's due to the mouth being too long on the left, because if I cover up that part it looks a lot better. I'll try and patch that up. As for the nose, I can see that too, but have no idea how to fix that. Any suggestions?

*EDIT - fixed nose and upper lip... look better now?*

hey Tinusch, or should I call you TRACUSCH!? Wink

I hope you dont mind honest and maybe a bit hard crits...I dont really like the face alot, aside from being skewed there is something I dislike which I cant put my finger on, sorry.
What I can say though is that I LOVE the lips, they are awesome imo, so is the cigarette. I also like the hair and the neck.

P.S.: Now that you can do Slashs signature, cant you dress up like him and go shopping and hand out checks with it? ;P

Yeah, well I've been meaning to tell you, I don't like your face very much either.

Just kidding. Thanks again for the comments. There is still some considerable skewage. I think it also lacks structure, it really looks a little too amorphous. Some more planar definition around the cheeks and jaw would help I suppose.

I added the outline and autograph as an afterthought to made the piece more interesting, which, tracing or not, I think it definitely did. But I did the rest of the image straight up with no reference or anything, which is totally hardcore and cool and everything. So that cancels out the tracing on the right.

Hey Tinusch I really like the colors in this piece and yea the signature and and the outline helped the balance of the picture. I am having color theory at the moment in my school and it is really interesting stuff and I can see that you have used some of color theory elements to push the colors forward.

Nice stuff. :)

OH yea btw, you could add more hair to fix the skew and nose parts, just a tip, I dont mind the skew though I think it works like that. I guess I am focusing more on colors and balance at the moment in pictures. :)

see you
Matthew
