Just letting u knows that if you live in NYC area you can catch a Drew Struzan show at the Society Of Illustrators. For those who dont know Struzan is the guy who did the posters for the Star wars, Indiana Jones, and Back to the future movies. The adress is 128 East 63rd Street New York, NY 10021. They are close on Mondays and the show ends January 1st. Laters |

Ahh Leyendecker, the Best!!! BTW they also have orignal paintings from Rockwell, Leyendecker, Dean Cornwell, and NC Wyeth. |

Drew Struzan is the poster GOD! fyi, for those not in the know, he perfected the poster style with multiple faces/figures blending into one collage of imagery... the Star Wars poster is the best example. I love his work. |

well i've just came back from the exibit OMG!!!!!! I thought this guy was good but not this good. His posters look so smooth from far away, but when you look close at it you can see his brushstrokes, pencil marks, and whole mess of other things. Its amazing!!! They had the Temple of Doom poster and all three of the Back to the Futures, my favorites. I recommend you guys check it out. One word of caution, this show might inspire you digital fiends to pick a brush Gasp!!!!  |
