[Gothic Gerbil]

Painted in oils, and probably the one and only time I'll really experiment with texture. It was kind of fun putting it down, but it just felt too pointless in the end. I'm still fairly satisfied with it, especially the figures since this is the second time I've done figures purely out of my head. But now that I have a camera I'm back to photographs, and am quite happy about that! I also discovered that I thoroughly despise working on canvas, as the texture interferes with my brushwork. Done in oils.
