...but not the usual kind... I don't know, I had to give this some kind of title.
This obviously has a way to go, so ignore if you will the obvious things like the barely existent right hand, etc. I just thought I'd throw it open to c&c's before I go too far astray with anything. I'd particularly like comments and tips on the cloak, as I have very little experience with painting drapery like this.
Thanks for your comments. _________________ funfetus.com |

if thats the moon in the background, then he is way too highlighted and you just need to darken everything. In which case you wasted your time coloring all that. If that wasn't your intent, then I suggest you just finish it so we can enjoy a finished piece _________________ It has been clinically proven that other people's pain IS funny. |

His head might be a little low/too much to the right of the picture. Either that or his right shoulder, the one that's lifted up, is a bit too big.
I don't know, it's not very obvious but it bug me a little about this picture.
Other than that, I can't find anything, this is awesome, please finish! |

I like what i see so far! Great layout. What i see as a potential problem here is the lightsources... If the moon is right behind him, and he's up on a clocktower and the clock tower is obviously shining light on him as well, we probably wouldnt be able to see anything accept an outline. That and it wouldnt be casting a light down onto the building at a 5o'clock angle.
The picture also seems really white. Like alot of white, very bright. Perhaps darkening the city/and or sky below, or making the color of the clock Yellow maybe? Then you could play with some really cool Gold or brilliant highlight on his cloak... The cloak has some really amazing wrinkles right next to his right hand, good job! _________________ Sumimasen?!?! Nanpa anyone? |

As non-important as my opinion might be I feel that I have to point out somethings that look weird to my eyes just for the sake of helping making this image look better cause it is really cool.
What I feel is weird is his left arm, the one that is holding on to the ledge and the chain. The arm, I think is too big and long in relation to the body but it is surely larger in relation to the other arm. And I'm not talking just about the forearm but the upper arm as well. The right upper arm looks like it has rotated to the right without having any forward or backward tilt so the difference in proportion can't be due to the arm having moved to the back or front, but even if this was the case it still wouldn't look so short I think. Neither does the fact that the right shoulder has moved forward account for the difference. Also since the left arm is supposed to be moving outward, away from the body, the cloth should be falling on it.
Also, and I don't really know if this is some important indication, the wall behind the assassing seems to be at the same depth as the wall below. If that's the case then I guess he's kneeling on a platform, but you can't really tell how much it extends outward if at all and if the wall below is at the same depth as the wall behind the assassin.
I don't know if you catch my drift here. I'm probably wrong though because every thing else is so neatly made and it seems rather unlikely that you'd do something weird at the points I mentioned. |
