Has anyone seen Mission: Impossible 2 yet?

No?

Well, go. It's good, it's very very good. And the girl in it, is absolutely stunning, her eyes are so mystical. Great movie.

MI2 was awesome. It had exactly what I look for in a movie: violence, lots of neat stunts.

The girl, sadly, was not as striking as I hoped she would be. Cruise, on the other hand, did some neat stunts. My favorite, by far, was the axe-kick with a flip.

I enjoyed this more than any action movie I could remember for a long, long time. Then I saw Shanghai Noon...

MI2? Sorry if I sound like a sour puss. But I thought MI2 sucked. I got tired of that slow motion bit really fast with the girl. The girl was hot no doubt but why does it take her so long to kill herself? Why did she have to walk all the way to a cliff? The beginning was way to slow for me. And on the island when he was sneaking in, why did he have to do all that rolling on the ground? Like it helped him any when sneaking in. What I did like though was the fight and chase seen. They took almost all of the moves from TEKKEN. I waited for that fight seen that whole time. I wish they put in more fight sceens. In my opinion Gladiator had more action than that plus it had a more believable character.
I am now looking foward to seeing TITAN AE.

WildMyth - you're not a sourpuss See, here's my philosophy:

When I go into a movie nowadays, I say to myself "do I want to be entertained? or do I want to be disappointed?" I either suspend some disbelief (sometimes more than others) or I pick it apart like a nose miner. I used to have trouble enjoying movies - working in the digital industry - competing, identifying flaws then overcoming them, solving those problems... and losing respect for those who made those same mistakes... it all just got to be too much. What's the point of a movie for the viewer? Well, for this viewer, it's to have fun. So, I always try now to go into a movie with an open mind. Otherwise, it'll be a poor excuse to blow 8+ bucks and get a sour bum sitting next to people who stink and listening to their stupid comments throughout the movie (I REALLY don't like those type of people!). Know what I'm sayin' homey?

I can totally understand why people don't like MI:2... but it's all perception...

Anywho, I'm gonna hit the hay...

I agree with kurisu in a way... Some might say End of Days was a bad movie, but I know I laughed right through it. OK, maybe that's not the way it was supposed to entertain people, but it was fun.

kurisu-I didn't mean to sound like a nose miner.

When I go into a movie nowadays, I say to myself "do I want to be entertained? or do I want to be disappointed?" I either suspend some disbelief (sometimes more than others) or I pick it apart like a nose miner that I am.
What's the point of a movie for the viewer? If he can't express his own opinion after wasting 8+ buck on a movie just because someone else thought it was sooo great. Well, for this viewer, it's to have fun. So, I always try now to go into a movie with an open mind. Otherwise, it'll be a poor excuse to blow 8+ bucks on a movie titled MI2 (Mission Impossible 2) instead, if I planned on dismissing the thought of suspending my disbelief I would have blown my 8+ bucks on a movie titled MTNSI2 (Mission Thats Not So Impossible 2) which has a title that is more believable.

Didn't mean to ruffle up your feathers kurisu.
Just because someone doesn't agree with you it doesn't that they stink, talk, and make stupid comments through out the movie.
Some of us nose miner have better things to do like nose mining.

If people don't follow off the bridge when you jump it doesn't mean that they don't like you.

I won't comment anymore on this topic since it seems like you get easilly offended when someone doesn't agree with everything you say.
An open mind doesn't mean you shouldn't have a thought that is of your own.
its all perception...

mi2 was more action based and first mission impossible seemed much more secret-agent type....i liked that one alot better, and cruise's hair looks retarded when its long...makes him look like someone on vh1.

youll notice that every few years a sort of new feel/style comes around that are in all the movies in that timeframe..personally i dont like 1999's so far...

hehehehehhehe WildMyth

Well, if was going to see a movie, it would have to be ILTETC (I Like To Eat Toenail Clippings). That one tastes - I mean looks - good.

*bleh*

I made myself sick there

Well, Hmm. Doesn't anyone else get kind of annoyed by people who talk during movies? I mean, it really chaps my lips when that happens. I've had to physically restrain myself from kickin' some booty

Ok MI:2 was good. But has anyone noticed how the pepsi thing in the beginning you know...(know some might not have it in there area)
I remember the last time we went to the movies.
I remember you talked through the whole thing.
I did?
You're not going to do it again?
You hold the pepsi while I hold the talking.

Anyways is it just me or do the chick and the guy just not fit together?

MI2 was little more than a series of visually nice action sequences strung together with little regard for plot or storytelling. I was HUGELY disappointed. After the rather thoughtful plot and characterisations of the first movie this one was just a bone-headed joke.

Sorry, but it was
