i recently purchased a new samsung syncmaster monitor and now i've got severe colour problems in photoshop (i just got the colours pink and black in the palette). i also didn't find a way to solve this by changing coloursettings or reinstalling photoshop. are there any codecs or something you can download??

Photoshop has a default colour mode that it uses every time you create a new document.
So it's possible that new documents are being opened as 2 colour, even though the palette lets you use the available spectrum.
Try opening a document and go to
Image->Mode->RGB Colour
and try painting on that again. |

Hey,
no disrespect if you know what you're doing, but it sounds like you're in the Quick Mask mode. It would explain the red and black. If not, then I'm not sure what's wrong. Sounds very strange to me. |

no, in quick mask mode it colors are just white and black in the foreground/bckground selections, or regular colors, i think hes in Duotone Mode, changing it to RGB mode like Ceenda suggested should help i think _________________ Hey Man, Nice Shot

I picked up a 17" synchmaster LCD about three months ago for $400 and it's been awesome! I haven't updated the drivers though, just used the ones on the disc that came with it.
I'm amazed that with no calibrating at all I see nearly exactly what I get when I print with my Epson photo stylus. Love it! Love it! |
