I've had some time to spend on my personal artwork and have finished a piece. When viewed full size, it will be about 6 feet wide, so the reduced image here does not really show it well. The details help give a better sense.

It was done using Photoshop and involves both photo manips and digital painting.

weird and awsome. Really digging that background, reminds me of those perspective stairs in which they seem to come from all directions.

Neeto. Kinda reminds me of Escher's work in a weird way. Smile

Really nice. A little freaky, but really mysterious and poetic at the same time. Definitely edgier than your other recent works. The only thing that doesn't look right to me is the figure on the far right, which looks like an untouched, flash-lit photo while the rest is very abstract and painterly.

ColdKodiak, Malachi... Thanks... Yeah, Escher... I love his work...

Tinusch... The figure on the right in comparison with the other figures has much to do with my meaning for the picture, which I'm not totally sure how to articulate. It's sort of a compendium of personalities - a portrait of a single soul... (see, not well articulated... )

Here is a photo that gives a sense of scale to the picture. It's a prototype print pieced together from sectional prints of the whole picture.

OooO impressive! I love it. I'll have to agree with Tinusch about the figure to the right though, but hey, you're the boss.

I hope to see more of your personal artwork, the dr snuggles type stuff you post from time to time, however well done and pretty, really creeps me out (they're scary!). This is something I can relate to, and this one is quite rewarding.

Thanks for sharing!

I love it! Composition reminds me of some of Picasso's works.

Wow, awesome stuff. It has a little Escher, Picasso.. and even some Hieronymus Bosch, who is one of my all-time favorites (and was around way before those other guys). Nice job!

Hieronymus Bosch... yes sir, one of my favorites as well... along with Francis Bacon and Pieter Bruegel the Elder coming in close to the top!
