Well, i'm new to Sijun and to digital painting. In fact here is the first digital painting I have ever done, just yesterday. I did it with my new tablet. It started messy as I was adjusting, and finished up much more precise when I got used to the tablet more. Ignore the background, I just put it in in 20-30 seconds. I know its shading isn't consistent with the foreground. I also didn't do too good of a shade job, but that the hey, I was just messing around.
The mech head is based on a paper and pencil drawing of mine which I did a few days ago and really liked. The color version is definitely messier, but I think it has a charm which the crisp drawing doesn't. Then again, sloppy also has a downside (its sloppy, duh)
BTW, do you know a free webhosting site where you are allowed to remote link? (damn you Geocities *shakes fist*)

You should have started the thread in the Gallery.
The Work In Progress Forum is only for images that are not finished.
Maybe you should ask more specific questions.
You mentioned yourself that it's pretty messy.
I don't get the "hey, I was just messing around" part.
What is left that people should comment on? 
Maybe you should try different approaches.
Try to get the image to read well without outlines.
The shapes look too flat IMO. The colors are too saturated.
I like the composition and the concept.
Btw. check your private mails.
